Gamuda bags RM932.5m Taiwan seawall project

PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Bhd has been awarded a construction contract from Port of Keelung, Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd worth approximately RM932.5 million to undertake the construction of a seawall.

In a statement, the group said it would be working together with Dong-Pi Construction Co. Ltd in a 70 : 30 joint venture respectively.

“The scope of the works involves the construction and completion of 4,014 meters length seawall structures, dismantling of existing seawall structures (954m) and Southport shore protection works,” it said in the statement.

The contract period is 60 months commencing from January 2020 and is expected to be completed by January 2025.

The works are expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the group for the financial year ending July 31, 2020.
