Progressive Impact bags RM20.76m job in Jeddah

PETALING JAYA: Progressive Impact Corp Bhd’s (Picorp) wholly owned subsidiary Saudi Asma Environmental Solutions LLC yesterday accepted a SAR18.90 million (RM20.76 million) contract award from Jeddah Municipality (JM) for the provision of mosquito control monitoring services to JM within Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The contract will be for a period of 36 months, which will commence on March 5, 2020 or upon any such date as specified by JM.

Saudi Asma’s obligations under the contract will involve the recruitment of manpower, procurement of equipment and the provision of mosquito monitoring services within Jeddah.

Saudi Asma is engaged in the provision of public health and environmental management services.

JM is Saudi Arabia’s government agency that provides municipal services including planning permits, licensing, health certification, testing, drainage irrigation, and waste management for the city of Jeddah.

The award is a continuity of the existing business that Saudi Asma has with JM, and as part of the latter’s Public Health Enhancement Programme undertaken to maintain the quality of life of the general public in Jeddah City.

The contract is expected to have a positive financial effect on the net assets per share of Picorp and contribute positively to its earnings per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020 until 2023.
