BNM international reserves increase 0.58% to US$103.9b as at July 31

PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) international reserves increased 0.58% to US$103.9 billion (RM434.36 billion) as at July 31, 2019 from US$103.3 billion (RM432.3 billion) as at July 15, 2019.

The central bank said in a statement that the reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.6 months of retained imports and is 1.2 times total short-term external debt.
